To Zambians and friends of Zambia.

Thank you

On behalf of SOZUSA and God is Good Ministries, Pastor David Chibambo and I would like to express our deepest thanks for your material and moral support during the fundraising drive to repatriate the remains of the late Reverend Lloyd Kayuma who died on 2nd November, 2003 from a brain tumor in Alexandria, VA. Your monetary contributions and support went a long way in ensuring that we reached the required amount of $6,850.00.

The remains of the late Rev. Kayuma will leave the USA on Saturday, December 06, 2003 and arrive in Zambia on Monday, December 8, 2003.

Such a noble gesture as shown will go a long way towards the building of a better community away from home.

To those who contributed financially, SOZUSA will be sending you letters confirming receipt of your contributions. Please retain the same for your records.

Sincerely,

Nkhosana Dube Chongo
Chairman

SOZUSA wishes to thank all those who contributed toward the Obed Simwaka Fund. We are grateful for your contributions and words of support. The Executive Committee welcomes anyone wishing to inspect the records pertaining to this fundraising effort to contact me so that the necessary facilitating arrangements can be made. This also applies to those who wish to obtain receipts for their contributions.

We are happy to announce that Obed Simwaka's body was flown to Zambia on June 19th. Obed's host family in North Carolina took care of the costs to send his body home. As a result of this gesture from the host family, SOZUSA sent the money raised (minus the bank transfer charge) to Obed Simwaka's family in Zambia to help them take care of the funeral expenses. This was a total of $1454. His siblings have received the money as Obed came from a family of orphans.

If you have any questions or concerns regarding this, feel free to e-mail me at jlusaka@sozusa.org.

Once again, thank you for your solidarity and willingness to help at such short notice. Thank you for helping us help Obed rest in peace. He will be missed.

Sincerely,

Jillian Lusaka
